About Us

Colette Hiller – Artistic Director
Colette came to London as an actress with the original cast of Annie. She stayed and worked with the RSC and National Theatres. Later she joined the BBC where she spent 10 years producing projects for BBC Education, Current Affairs and BBC Imagineering. She recently Associate-produced a Panorama programme about litter, fronted by Bill Bryson (to be broadcast BBC1 August 08).

The idea for Sing London came about in 2005. Colette and her daughter Corin volunteered to sing at a Residential home but found their singing induced the residents to fall sound asleep. They quickly changed their repertoire and sang songs people knew. Suddenly people woke up, smiled and joined in. A moment of serendipity, Colette realised the power of shared song
